Centered in God's Word

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe the Bible is completely sufficient as the Sourcebook for counseling and care.

Our Caring Team exists to first assist members within the church body, then others within our church and community, when financial difficulties arise.  For more information about our procedures for assistance or if you need help, contact Cheryl Routzahn.

Our eachONE Ministry is equipped to serve families with special needs. If you would like more information on how our team can minister to your family in all areas of children’s ministry, youth, or adults, please contact Jen Wood.

A Little Love serves those in our community with food needs. You can drop off non-perishable food items and toiletries in the container in our church lobby. You can also help deliver those items to our neighbors in Union Bridge once a month. Contact Brian Chapline for more information.

Our Support & Resource Group meets monthly to lift each other up, pray with each other, seek tools to deal with stigmas and other issues we face, and to seek wisdom in being advocates for our loved ones. Our goal is to provide support and resources for family and friends of those living with mental health conditions. Contact Don or Laurie for more information.

"So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone,

and especially to those who are of the household of faith." Galatians 6:10

Lay Counseling

Biblical Lay Counseling is about soul care and spiritual direction.  Soul care comes alongside of people to comfort them in their suffering (God is good even when life is bad).  Spiritual direction confronts people about their sin (God is gracious even when I am sinful) and challenges them to grow in grace. We want those whom we counsel to know and love Jesus more in order that they might obey Him better and image Him more fully.

To Schedule an Appointment call Cheryl at the church office: 410-775-1345. You will be asked some general questions to determine which counselor to connect you with.  You will be sent, either via email or snail mail, a Personal Information Form which must be filled out and received prior to initial meeting with counselor. Upon receipt of your completed form we will contact you confirming receipt and your appointment. Children’s form will be completed at initial meeting. To cancel an appointment, 24 hour advance notice is requested.
