Angel Tree
Once again, we’ll have the joy of serving local families in need through our Angel Tree outreach. Beginning this Sunday, you’ll be able to select specific items and help provide gifts, gift cards, and essentials for families in our church and community. Together, we hope to bless over 55 families, making up over 200 individuals, this Christmas season.
Alongside the Angel Tree, we’re also excited to host a Free Family Haircut Event on December 15 from 4–7 pm. Families are invited to come and receive complimentary haircuts as we serve and care for our community this Christmas season.
Financial Update
Over the past few months, we’ve shared with the congregation about our growing ministry needs and how those needs impact our finances. We’re grateful to report that since that announcement, giving has increased significantly!
As of last week, we remain behind by ($11,918) but that’s a noticeable improvement from earlier this fall. Thank you for responding with generosity and faith—it’s made a real difference.
At the same time, as our church continues to grow, so do our opportunities and responsibilities. We’ve made adjustments to better serve our expanding ministries—especially in areas like security and operations - and those adjustments come with expanded costs. Your continued partnership and faithful giving make all of this possible, and we’re deeply thankful for how God continues to provide through His people.
Giving Back
Each year, when Uniontown ends with a positive net income, we joyfully give 10% back to support local and global ministries. Sometimes that surplus comes from generous giving that exceeded expectations; other times, it’s from spending less than we anticipated. Either way, we see it as an opportunity to bless others.
This past year, your generosity allowed us to give back in several meaningful ways:
$5,000 to A21, a ministry dedicated to ending human trafficking. These funds provided repatriation services for five survivors to safely return home.
$4,000 to Elmer Wolfe Elementary School, helping purchase a much-needed printer for teachers and students.
$1,500 to Ketty’s House, one of our Global Partners, to install two air-conditioning units in rooms serving children with special needs.
$3,500 to The Least of These, a ministry led by our own church member Marty Hogan, sharing Christ’s love with Haitian and Dominican workers in sugar cane, banana, and plantain camps throughout the Dominican Republic.
Thank you for being a church that gives generously—both locally and globally!
