Below are four strategic items we want to make you aware of as of May 11.
We will be taking a break from the 411 over the summer and will pick it back up in the fall, when we’ll have a number of exciting updates and new developments to share.
Every Word
In 2026, we’re walking through the entire New Testament...one chapter each weekday. And we’ve officially finished the Gospels, which means we now know a lot more about fishermen, Pharisees, Roman governors, and how often the disciples completely missed the point. Friday, we jumped into the book of Acts, watching the message of Jesus spread across the world through ordinary, imperfect people empowered by the Holy Spirit. Acts is the perfect place to jump in if you haven’t been reading with us yet, no catching up required, 1 chapter a day. Come walk through the New Testament with us! Every Word Resources
Sabbatical
At Uniontown, we try to treat rhythms of rest, renewal, and recharging as something normal, not rare. From time to time, each of our pastors steps away in this way so they can return refreshed, encouraged, and strengthened for the work God has called them to. We view sabbaticals as a healthy part of long-term ministry life… preventative rather than reactive care. As you heard, Mark began his sabbatical this past week. Please be praying for he and his family (Lisa, Jackson, Christian, and Bella) over the next couple of months. During his time away, Ben Wheeler will be the main point of contact. Summer Camps
Planning for our summer camps is in full swing, but it's not too late for you and your kids to join us. Our camps are intentionally affordable and open to everyone in our community, so please encourage your kids to invite a friend. We will have tons of fun in Art, Sports, and VBS but more importantly, we will learn about Jesus and His great love for us each and every day. We expect to host over 1200 kids this summer and could use your help. There are opportunities to serve for middle and high school students as well as adults. So, if you are too old for camp, you're the right age to volunteer! To serve with us this summer, find the volunteer sign up button at the bottom of the Summer Camps page mentioned above and complete the interest form. We are looking forward to a great camp season!
Fall Launch & Master Calendar
We are really looking forward to what God has ahead for us this fall after a busy summer. Our staff and leadership teams have been working hard behind the scenes, and we believe it’s going to be a wonderful season.
This fall, we’ll be sharing several exciting announcements, along with new ways for people to connect, build relationships, and take next steps in their walk with Jesus. We’re being intentional about creating clear pathways for everyone, from those who are brand new to those who have been here for years.
We’re also continuing to take important steps forward related to our future, both with our property and long-term facility plans, as we prepare to make more room for what God is doing in and through our church.
It’s shaping up to be a meaningful and exciting season, and we’re grateful to be on this journey together.
